Shifter Oil Seal Replacement

Hi There -

 

How do I go about removing the oil seal around the location where the shifter goes into the case? (It's leaking a small amount of oil so I need to replace it.)

i used a flat tip screw driver and popped it out and put the new one on.

If the shifter is still in it, put a screw in it and pull it out. If the shifter is not in it go with a screw drive, (flat tip).

Yup, that simple, 5 minutes, not even!

You will want to either drain the oil or tip the bike up on its side so that you don't get any oil spilling out.

Thanks Guys! - the screw trick worked. (and I drained the oil prior to do this - chuckle)
