NewToBanshees Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 OK so i have a pretty stock banshee, with a Mod Quad K&N filter set-up (I run it with the top of the air box off). I recently bought a pair of old FMF Gold Series pipes and Silencers ( i think they are the first powercores). Obviously I am not tryin to spend a lot of money on my quad right now, basically im just tryin to get the weight of the stock pipes of the frontend. I am ready to put the pipes on, but my buddy is tellin me ishould put 400 or 420 jets in, and when i look at the posts about what people are running nobody is running anything near a 400. I will be riding mostly in the desert and dunes of socal. Any advice on my best bet for Jets? Im thinkin like 320-350 but i really dont know........HELP! Quote

burhead Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 I ended up at 330 mains and 27.5 pilots. I run fmf fattys and I have the lid on my air box with an aftermarket filter. My elevation is 2000 feet and the temp was about 80. It is probably a little rich but I like to run my bikes that way. That way when it cools off I don't have to jet up. I have never had a problem with plug fouling. I like my plugs to look chocolate brown but I know some that run them light brown with no issues. When I bought my bike it had 270s in it and the filter had no oil on it, so I guess that is why both pistons had holes in them. My advice would be start high and work your way down. 400 is probably way too high though. Quote

X2 start high and work your way down. A 35 pilot is huge. Try a 27.5 and some 300-310 mains, needles on the middle clip. Quote
