  2. Still have the r2s. $400 plus actual shipping.
  3. Still have the Rockets for sale and the A arms that are listed in the parts section.
  4. The bike no longer has the R2 pipes installed. It has a set of FMF fattys. I can get current pictures if anyone is interested. Price is now $1300.
  5. I have a set of Rocket R2 pipes for sale. I bought them and stripped the black "grill paint" off of them and ceramic coated them with techline ceramic coating. They look great when installed but some of the ceramic has flaked off on the bottom side of the pipe as seen in the pic. These pipes worked well on my bike with stock porting but I heard they really shine with porting done. They were way better than the FMF fattys I had on originally. The ceramic coating also allows you to ride in shorts without torching your legs. 450 shipped. Also selling a set of 2 +1 A arms. I don't remember the brand. They are supposed to work with stock length suspension. I never installed them. They could use a coating but they don't look terrible. 220 shipped
  6. I think it is sold here locally. Guy says he is coming with cash sometime this week. I would be willing to ship it but payment will have to clear before it goes anywhere and you would have to make the arrangements. I would be willing to drop it off within a reasonable distance. I will let you know if the deal falls through.
  7. oops knew I forgot something. Located in Sioux city IA asking 1500 with the rockets. I would throw on a set of fattys and probably take 1300.
  8. Selling my 96 banshee. Motor was rebuilt a few years ago and has less than 25 hours on it. It has a hot rods crank, weisco pistons, 4 degree advance, milled head, ceramic coated Rocket R2 pipes. Bike runs great and has been reliable.
  9. Yea I did a plug chop when I initially installed the pipes. I usually run a milk chocolate colored plug as that is what my polaris 2 strokes like. I'm going to see how the plug looks and how it runs with a 310. I was just curious what others had ended up with. I couldn't find alot of other posts about these pipes.
  10. I am looking for some jetting advice for my banshee with R2 pipes. I have a stock air box with a uni filter and the lid removed. Carbs are stock and it has a .020 shaved head on it. I jetted it last year and it ran well at my house ripping down the gravel road. I am at 1100 ft and the weather was in the 70s. I took it to the riding spot about 4 hrs away and it seemed doggy out of the hole. My riding area is at 1500 ft and it is sand. I am looking for some advice as to what others are running for jetting with these pipes. I am currently at a 330 main but I think when I get to the riding spot I could probably go leaner. I am also having a hard starting problem so I will be going into the carbs tonight. Any help is a ppreciated.
  11. I am launching in first. Are you saying that they mount them backwards from what the direction arrow says. I didn't even notice the arrows when I mounted them. I just figured that the scoops would face the same way as a normal sand paddle. I think if anything the needle is my problem. WOT seems fine but I may drop a jet size or two just to see what it does.
  12. I did a plug check. I think I was a bit rich with the fattys. Plug was always dark brown like milk chocolate. Plug was more of a greyish black when I checked it after a few wide open runs. I guess I will try throwing the dirt tires back on it and bump the main up few sizes and see what she does. So what jetting are you guys ending up with?
  13. The only other mods I have are +4 timing and milled head. I think I am pretty good on the mains. I am at 330 same as I was with my FMF fattys. I didn't mess with the needles because it felt alright when I was rippin around the yard. I also had my pro wedges mounted backwards I guess. I put them on with the scoops facing forward like a normal paddle but according to the arrows on the tire this is wrong. I ll probably try a larger sprocket and see what that does for it. It sucks because all of our sand riding areas are currently engulfed my the missouri river and I would like to get this sorted out before the fall rally in genoa.
  14. Over the winter I installed a set of R2s and I was pretty impressed initially. I had only ridden the quad on hardpack or gravel with my 20" kenda claws. I took it to a local riding spot for a weekend trip. The riding area is all sand with alot of tight trails and some nice wide open spaces. I am running 22" pro wedges (also new over the winter). I am geared down one tooth on the front sprocket. This thing is terrible in the sand. I cannot get it to launch no matter what I try. It is also not alot of fun on the trails. My reason for the taller paddles was to gain some ground clearance as some of the trails get some pretty deep ruts. I figured that my gearing was low enough to compensate for the taller paddle also figured that these tires being so light would help out as well. So I am wondering what guys are running with these pipes.
  15. Well I guess I didn't realize they were bent. They came on the bike when I got it and it had no grab bar. I would assume someone stood it up on end. If they are bent, they are bent equally because they both looked even. They came off of my 96 but I would assume they fit all years.
  16. I have a set of FMF fattys with power core silencers. The chambers are in pretty good shape with a little rust here and there. Stingers are rusty and the silencers have dents in the endcaps. They arent show winners but they get the job done and look good when mounted up. They are missing the o rings because my rockets didnt come with any. Asking 220 shipped anywhere in the lower 48. '
  17. do yourself a favor and pick up a tube of silicon and seal that bad boy up. I bought the cheaper model and it leaked really bad so I took it back and got that model. I siliconed it all up and it still leaks, just not as bad. They work very well for the price and I am really happy with mine.
  18. Fmf fattys are great on the trails. I would call them a mid range pipe. They seem to have a decent bottom and they hit pretty hard in the mid range. Best thing about them is they can be found very cheap.
  19. I just went from fattys to r2s. There is a huge difference in the topend but the Fmfs worked well on the trails. i think it all depends on the riding you do. I don't know how well the R2s are going to do in the tight stuff. They have plenty of power but you do have to keep them reved a little higher. Plus they just keep on pulling so I can see myself getting into trouble with these pipes. The fattys are a very underrated pipe for guys that run in the woods.
  20. Finally got to get some seat time over the last couple of days. Just went out and played on some gravel roads because we still have alot of snow covering everything else. I am very happy with these pipes and the coating as well. After a long ride down the road, I can touch the pipe and not get burned. These pipes perform just as the other reviewers said. They hit hard in the mid range and just keep pulling. I am coming from fattys and while I think they are a great pipe, especially for trails, they fall off too soon for my liking. The fattys did have a little more in the low mid range and I found the power on the R2's seem to kick in a little later. I'm happy for now but I will have to see how they do in the trails. I am also running the same jetting as my fattys and will have to play around a bit and see what works best.
