  1. Went out on a trip to the desert, everything ran fine, probably put 5 hrs on it. It stands up the whole way back, I clean the shit out of it. Then I go to start it and as soon as i turn on the gas it starts dumping gas out of both right overflow hoses. I know that my floats are probably stuck, but dont know what to do about it. Should I be trying to kick it when its pouring gas? (i would think this would foul my plug) or taking the bottom of the carbs off and cleaning the floats with carb cleaner or what? Thanks
  2. I live in North County San Diego and I am looking for advice on where to take my cylinders to get resurfaced. My buddy and I are planning on doing the rebuild to save some money. Mine should just need resurfacing, his probably needs to be bored out. I've seen places like "Fullbore" online where you send in the cylinders and they send them back with the pistons and rings and everything else. Wanted to know if anyone knew of local shops that do the same, or online places like Fullbore. Never done this before so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. ohh god the rattle drives me crazy!! how much u charge for those things mike?
  4. Ok so this is a stupid question, but it drives me crazy. Im riding mostly in deserts (both hard pack and dunes) and my kickstart will not twist out, pretty much every time (once im riding). My buddy has a Banshee and has the problem too but not as bad as mine. Everytime I want to twist it out so I can kick it, i have to pour a little water to get it out. I have taken it off and cleaned it, tried spraying chain lube on it (makes it worse), tried keepin it lubed with wd-40, and nothing works! Now i try to leave it halfway twisted out the whole time i ride! any suggestions? thanks
  5. i talked to my local yamaha shop and they said to start with 310s and 35 on the pilot jet, so i think im gonna start with that!
  6. Yes stock carbs... and I can only assume Glamis is at or slightly above sea level
  7. OK so i have a pretty stock banshee, with a Mod Quad K&N filter set-up (I run it with the top of the air box off). I recently bought a pair of old FMF Gold Series pipes and Silencers ( i think they are the first powercores). Obviously I am not tryin to spend a lot of money on my quad right now, basically im just tryin to get the weight of the stock pipes of the frontend. I am ready to put the pipes on, but my buddy is tellin me ishould put 400 or 420 jets in, and when i look at the posts about what people are running nobody is running anything near a 400. I will be riding mostly in the desert and dunes of socal. Any advice on my best bet for Jets? Im thinkin like 320-350 but i really dont know........HELP!
  8. Any suggestions on what kinda things I should be looking for? PS do you know Garrett Wilson (He's from st. jo)
  9. great I will look into it! Any idea the PSI on a stock Banshee Cap?
  10. My Banshee has a tendency to spit coolant out of the overflow hose if its hot and I get bogged down in sand or something. My buddy (who rides mostly bikes) told me I should get a radiator cap that has a higher psi (maybe .5 psi higher). He said he has done it to 2-strokes and it solved the problem. Does anyone know if this is common practice with Banshees also? If not any other suggestions? I want to stop this, but i dont want to melt my pistons in the process......help! Thanks
  11. Do they go under the entire back fenders? (I cant really tell on the site) because its really just the outside corners that are sagging. Thanks for the reply bro
  12. I have a 2000 Banshee that is almost entirely stock. The outside edges of the back fenders are sagging down and just dont look that great. Any ideas on what I could do to get them back up straight? Is this a common issue? Thanks Ryan
  13. What kind of FMFs are they? Fattys? SSTs? or what? Also how many hours would you estimate are on the pipes themselves? the $250 is for the pipes and silencers??
