I've bought a bunch of shit from Goldcanyonbanshee, and so far its all been good stuff. Your right, if it needs to be completely rebuilt, pistons, and a crank would cost you an additional grand. However if its a good running motor, then thats a hell of a deal in my opinion.

Just because it says 64 on the intake side does not mean it's NOT ported.

That's the casting for a 10mm crank, as said. That area does nothing for performance if you were to grind that off, it would be a "cosmetic" only grind. Mine still has it...

 

You could either measure port heights or put it on a degree wheel to see if it's been ported...

 

Not a bad deal, as long as the inside isn't a basket case...

this guy us straight up if it is who i think it is. i met up at his palce months ago to pic up a drag axle. very noce parts from this guy. i just offered up my 450 for this motor.

I was so close to picking this up, but I held out. Looks like he has another Super Cub 10mm on ebay. I'm so tempted, but I've heard Super Cubs were not the way to go. Regardless, looks like a nice motor.
