bansheesandrider Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 which yamabond should I get to put my cases back together after I put my new crank in, 4 or 5? I have always used Yamabond #4 on my cases. Quote
AWR Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 yamabond4 or hondabond 4 both cheaper than threebond Quote
midlifecrisis Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 X2, Im using hondabond4, just cause I have no yamaha dealer close by. Quote
VictorK Posted June 14, 2010 Author Report Posted June 14, 2010 I think Ill go with the yamabond4 seeing as my local dealer can get it. I try to go through him as much as I can because he always takes care of me Quote
AdrenalineJunky Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) What about yamabond 5? I see RMATV has it and about to place an order. It not recommended for cases? Edited July 14, 2010 by AdrenalineJunky Quote
VictorK Posted July 14, 2010 Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 What about yamabond 5? I see RMATV has it and about to place an order. It not recommended for cases? I ended up getting the yamabond 4, rhe stuff is great. It goes on nice, some say its tacky but I don't think so. It bonds to the surface when its dry and holds well. I don't see any reason not to use it Quote
spurdy Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 I've seen that threebond stuff on a buddies set of cases we split and I must say I really don't think I like it. It wasn't very pliable, almost brittle. I would use the old standby, yamabond. Never used hondabond. But that's just me. I like what I know has worked. SP Quote
No Limit Powersports Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 There are different grades of 3bond. 1211 is what we use on everything and its pretty amazing stuff. Yamabond is good stuff as well just prefer the 3bond. Quote
robert0762 Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 Yamabond 4... Never had or heard of a problem Quote
