hondamxerd Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 06 banshee fmf titaniums with gold seiries pipes, k&n filter, and timing plate, stock everything else. 280 main jets, feels a lil flat on top, should i try a 290, also the carbs are leaking fuel when setting still not running, i took them apart and cleaned well but still leaking any suggestions thanks Quote
98_shee Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 Try the 290 and see if it get better or worse. A buddy has a bike with simular mods and he eded up at 280, 27.5, needle in middle clip, air screw 1.5 turns out. Where are the carbs leaking from? Are the floats sticking? 1 Quote
hondamxerd Posted May 14, 2010 Author Report Posted May 14, 2010 they are leaking from the drain tubes on the carbs, and i thought floats but i cleaned them and still leaking... is there an adjustment on them? Quote
SNTBANSHEE Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 If they are both leaking its probably time for a rebuild or you could just replace the float needle and seat. Quote
hondamxerd Posted May 15, 2010 Author Report Posted May 15, 2010 Have you checked your float hight? no, how do you do that..lol Quote
98_shee Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Measure from the gasket matting surface without the gasket on it to the top of the float, it should be about 22mm. Quote

If you havent played with your floats, i usually dont suggest adjusting them without a caliper. 20-22mm is the setting if you need it. I would suggest replacing the Valve seats. I just did mine and no leaking problems after that. they were cheap too. Quote
