  1. Trust me i would love to bring it back to the shop ... only problem is they went out of buisness (I now know why) ... I usually do mechanic myself but i did not have time to do so back then I figured the oil/coolant mess ... its the o-ring from the case dump tube (coolant) that is leaking i'll replace that. As for the coolant inside the right cyl, still don't understand but probably the head gasket (even if i dont see water marks on the gasket ... i'll change cyl. jackets also. Thanks 4 your help guys ... i'll let u know Chris
  2. Hey guys! I have a big problem with my ''trail'' banshee ..... i had the motor rebuilted 3 months ago by a local shop (crank, pistons). I didn't used this shee since (idled for 5mins then ride 2mins on my yard, parked the thing & dropped some lubricant in the cylindres) . Last week i decided to ride it a little bit so i cleaned the carbs and went for it but when the motor Got hot (normal running temp) it started running weird + white smoke in right pipe ... so i parked the bi**h and Got back to work .. had a busy week at work and finally yesterday i had a little spare time so i cranked the shee ** seized** . Took the head off and suprise!! Files with rust on the right cyl ... Took the cylinders off and checked all the gaskets ( couldn't fins a defect or water mark on any gaskets .. checked the tranny oil and its filled with coolant .... i'm fu***ng pissed! ! Any idea of wth is going wrong? Water pump seal + crank seal? Thanks Chris
  3. Hi guys !! Just wondering If Laker custom plastics Will color match the Maier plastics? Here's the plan : i want a orange Laker race cut rear end with a orange Maier race cut front set (i dont like one piece front ends) .. Will the colors match ?? If not Will black match ?? Thanks Chris
  4. I would only part the bike if something major is missing ( bent frame, extremely blown motor ) ... if the bike is still in shape sell it as a whole so you won't end up with a lot of parts that nobody wants. Legit frame, motor and electronics are hot sellers but everything else is not going to sell quick ... or at all
  5. First, get rid of that boost bottle you will end up having air leaks that might cause engine failure, you will feel better response and better low/mid power with the 2/1 set up and you will lose a LITTLE bit of top end (you might not even notice) .... unless you run a cheetah/twister/ect or full drag ported cylinders you wont really feel a lost of top end power .... with your setup use a 35mm pwk carb and you'll be fine And BTW : I suggest buying The Charriot Performance 2/1 kit .... anything trinity is straight garbage IMO
  6. SICK !!!! X2 for EFI ... I'm currently working on a efi system for my shee using sled stuff and megasquirt ecu ... should be able to make it happen by the summer
  7. Incorrect .. lets say cyl#1 is breathing (cyl#1 reeds are open) and cyl#2 ain't breathing (cyl#2 reeds are closed) ect ect ... you still have 2 reed cages to operate right ... there's no interference between the two cages. IMO ... one of the reasons the 2in1 setup works better in the lower powerband is because of the distance of the carb from the cylinders (created by the manifold) .. so it act like a bigass reed spacer wich create more response, better low/end, less revs. Plus don't forget you're messing with velocity when you have to deal with a cross feeding manifold. My buddy had a 35mm single carb setup from trinity and i DID TRY the before(twin stockers/after(single35mm) ... it was pulling much stronger on low/mid range and had around the same on top (maybe a lil better)... but again he had stockers before trying the single setup. I don't know how it would compare from, let's say, twin 35mm and single 38mm .. i would like to see this with my own eyes Chris
  8. 340 mains is too big for your mods (is there any other mods ?) ... if you keep the lid on the air box 280-290 would be a good start .. whats your elevation and temp ? Chris
  9. Yes it is better than stock ... this pipe is great for low end if your ride in tight woods... but other than this for the price i would buy another set of pipes depending on your riding style
  10. Put the clip @ center and loose your air screws 1/4 turn .. see what happen
  11. JESUS make yourself a favor and don't bring your bike over there anymore This shop is doo doo
  12. If it revs easy but not much power ... you are lean ... try 1 or 2 size up on mains and see what happens Chris
  13. Its around 90degrees around here too .. at those temps with your fattys and No Lid your mains should be between 280-300 .. and yes a 30 pilot jet would be a great choice also As for the filter i use foam type filters because they're mush easier to clean than k&n. Chris
  14. Does it smokes at idle or at 1/2 to wot ? if you let it sit a few seconds at idle does it smoke ? need more info Chris
  15. Vito's got great pistons .. i bought a set when it first came out and i'm very happy with them
  16. The main difference between o-rings and x-xrings is how they seal .. o-rings have 1 sealing point (due to the o shape) and the x-rings have 2 sealing points (sue to the x shape) ... so an x-ring chain seals better (last longer). The x-ring chain is also stronger (less overheating due to better lubrification) Chris
  17. Shee needs bigger main jets Chris
  18. I was on 230 mains with the fatty and first tryed some 260's : LEAN AS HELL 260's to 270 : still lean 270's to 280 : BINGO !!! LOL the t5 seems to need fuel so go 40 over on main jets and start from there(the best upgrade you ever did to your shee the t5's are awesome) Chris
  19. does it revs easy but doesn't pull that hard ? if so probably lean ... also make sure you didn't -4 your timing (sometimes we do some dumb shit without being dumb lol) Also .. does it pull ok from 0 to 1/2 throttle (like before) ? Chris
  20. What about the toomey's silencers with their hush kit ?? Check it out : http://www.toomey.com/html/hushkit_store.htm
  21. An air lean would lean your a/f mixture (almost no smoke at all) so forget this theory ... your best bet right now is to sync your carbs correctly (reset all settings on both carbs and tune equaly) .. also if check your main jets + your pilots are the same size (i've seen this before). Chris
