dumb overide trans question

i appolagize for this one in advance . here goes...... after making a run down the strip with an over ride tranny, say you are in 5th gear, how do you downshift it without binding up the trans. i understand that these modded trans cannot be back loaded so how do you get them back to first without any trouble. please understand that i have never seen or used an over ride trans before.

Just pull in the clutch after the run and click it down to first while you are still rolling,use your brake and come to a stop or slow roll and let out the clutch and leave it in first. I run a duneable overide so i can backload mine some but the drag only style you can't.

if its a regular override, you need to come to a complete stop before you downshift it.

well you don't need to come to a complete stop but make sure your motor is down to an idle before letting the clutch out again after downshifting to first.
