I know it's overkill for my setup but my question is, running one won't hurt anything will it?

na def wont hurt anything as long as your carbs are tight and the overflows arent broke and leak gas

And you wont have a reserve any more.

if you ever depend on your reserve it might not be a good idea for you. flow is good but you get it at the cost of the reserve.

I have just been riding beforer. Stopped to check the fuel and you could see the bottom of tank.
