shakar Posted April 14, 2010 Author Report Posted April 14, 2010 heres a couple pics pic looking in from the bottem.............. u dont think heat will be a factor where the metel is so thin there? thainking maybe cold welld but dont want to worry it gunna xcome loose when riding ...also what are the cylinder made of ?? THANKS AGAIN for the help guys Quote
shogs Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 As good as these guys advice is remember that every setup is different and different problems happen to every bike. Consider what it would cost to buy new jugs now, and how much it would cost to buy new jugs on top of any other damages you may do IF it does come loose or melts. Not saying you shouldn't do it it could be an easy fix, but keep that in mind. Quote
shakar Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 well my teach welded it from both sides then i took my dremel and evened everything out , inside looks great the out side got a big booger or aluminum weld im gunna go over it with some silocone and do a leakdown and see what happens , it ran for 2 years with jus the silicone before i found it so hopfully the weld and silicone togather will hold tight ,prob not the best fix but if it does burn up ill guess that will be an excuse to tell the girl that i got to rebuild and go to 4 mill thanks Quote
papa_smurf49319 Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 no big deal, nothing a little tig weld couldnt fix. Dont use silicon, use jb weld if ya have to. Quote

So Cal Suspension Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Will you do us all a favor, and name the builder? So anyone who reads this won't fall into a potential trap? I see you're from Maine, and we've got a lot of HQ'ers in the NE, I'd hate to see a member get screwed by that builder. Quote
SD1026 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 how do you not know your jugs i know my shit when i see it . Quote
