Recommended Posts

Been working on this for a few months.. Teaching myself how to Tig Weld at the same time

Motor is a Yami 440 Sled motor with a AAEN pipe (that we custom cut to shoot out the back)

heres some details on it...

12.5 travel front -- 14 rear

Fox 2.0 Coilovers with Remote Resi

Chromoly bracing and suspension arms

billet center pull steering rack (sandrail rack)

Badass FK heims all the way around

everything is bolted in via bushings (makes for easy disassembly, and dampens vibration)

1 1/2 DOM .95 wall main chassis

42" bench PRP seat with Dragon fire harnesses

26" triple buffed bead to bead skat trak paddles on .125 rims (really light)

total weight should be around 800lbs

same wheel base as stock Rhino --75"

4 inches wider than stock rhino with the sand tires

motor should make about 55 hp

rear end is a Dana H12 out of an Electric golf cart... Welded up

Building to beat on the SXS crowd in the dunes without being trendy ;-P

Its gone about $8000 over budget, you really dont know how much the little things add up when you build something like this from scratch... just in hardware, tabs and welding rod Ive spent a grand.

It is like anything over budget and late. It is a lot easier and cheaper to build it right the fist time.

Looks good and should be a fun ride, but good luck. :D
