Hows this jetting sound for bike in sig

155 main

55 pilot

1-1/2 turns out on pilot

50 degrees right now

500-600 above sea level

what size carbs and needle. I would think it would need more fuel but get ahold of wesw on here and had a 4mill passion 12 port that put out like 86hp.

was not a drag port nither

did you just get the setup and you are trying to tune it or have you had it for a while and trying to make it run better?

these motors are notorious for having a bad dead spot in the midrange with 35mm pwk.

I have a 4mil passion motor with 35mm airstrikers, cpis and I Didnt have a dead spot in the mid range.

I sold my air strikers and Im unsure of my jetting but I may be able to find out for you.

Are you jetting the bike and having trouble? What are you trying to accomplish by the thread? Are you just looking for a good starting point?

Give us some more info>

My passion motor runs real strong, Only problems I have is that i cant shift. bangheadbanghead

no dead spot in the mid, little doggy on the lowend but thats to be expected with the shearers. Basically havnt had anywhere to open it up and do a plug chop, went on jims recommendations for jetting and seems to be fine. But i just wanna make sure im in the ballpark and okay to ride it around a little until i can get her to a spot and open it up for plug chop. Seems to run fine, just havnt been able to get outta second or third gear right now. Porcelin looks tan after crusin around for a little bit. Does 155 seem rich or lean? What about the 55 pilot, seems most guys are runnin 50.

I have that same exact setup and im running a 155-50 jetting but i think jim at passion recommended 152-50 for me and im right at sea level. It seems to be running really strong and i definitely dont have a dead spot in the mid range. Im running the cpi pipes but jim said i should be running the shearers.

Jim told me i would see 6+ hp switching to shearers but i like my cpis so the HP doesnt mean all that much to me.

I would just take it somewhere and rip through all the gears and see how it feels.

Maybe dropping the pilot will help you with the little bog on the bottom.

Thats what he told me also. He said he saw 6hp increase consistantly on the dyno with the shearers. If i find a good deal or someone that will trade my cpis, i will switch. But for a trail/play bike mine has plenty of power to spare and can really be uncontrollable sometimes on tight trails.

i could offer advise all day but if you dont offer support in the first place it would be an dog chasing his tail ordeal

need to know what needle your running.

i think your pilot is close 55 58 seems to the sweet spot

needle is a toss up.

i would suggest a dek, cel but prefer the d series being richer.

for a main 150- 155 my guess.

jim motors like fuel down low and in the mid range and by doing that you have to lower the main cause it has lot of fuel down low compared to other setups.

ok started out with 155's made my way to 162's after three plug chops, smoke ring is chocolate brown but only 1mm wide, not 2mm like it should be. Bike runs really hard! So im thinking im goin to up the mains? gonna try a 165 and then a 170 if i have to, sprayed ether all around the bike so i know theres no air leaks.
