Fuel tank.

I am selling my oversized tank and going back to the stock size with the sleeve which surrounds the tank which Yamaha supplies. I have been looking for the small piece of black plastic that goes on top of the tank under the gas cap and ties the sleeve sides together, but nobody seems to have one that they want to sell. Why is that, are they super tough to come by, am I barking up the wrong tree here? I have the tank, I have the sleeve which surounds the tank, but the other piece has eluded me so far? I cant even find one on ebay, and Id rather not go carbon fibre, as it'll end up brown in the UV.

go to babbitts online.com,,,they will have every stock banshee part available,,,be prepared to pay though

I don't think they come with that cover stock, they just have the rubber trim on the tank cover. Cascade has vinyl ones if Carbon Fiber isn't your thing.

ive got the carbon fiber one man its real slick looking,get one of those if you can iil try and post a picture of it

The tank itself was exposed between the two side covers,there was a piece of rubber edging on each side cover. But there are aftermarket covers in chrome, carbon fiber and Cascade vinyl. I am nit sure where to get the chrome or carbon fiber, but I have seen them.
