Ok a cool head improves your compression if i were you that's the first thing i would get, I would also get a set of v-force 3 reeds and a k&n air filter. I'm running the k&n's with outerwear and removed the airbox but if you do alot of mudding and puddles i would not recommend that. With a good set of pipes, reeds, and filter you will beat the 450. Also what pipes do you have?

the pipes i got are lrd dacing i think im not around them now but i am pretty sure thats it. now is there diff size cool heads or are they the same? and if i do all that what will i need to do to the carbs jet wise?

You could get it ported and bump your timing to +4deg with a timing plate for under $500, and get your head shaved if you are on a tight budget to raise your compression, and it would look like you had a stock head and have a sleeper motor.
