JCMshee Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Ok a cool head improves your compression if i were you that's the first thing i would get, I would also get a set of v-force 3 reeds and a k&n air filter. I'm running the k&n's with outerwear and removed the airbox but if you do alot of mudding and puddles i would not recommend that. With a good set of pipes, reeds, and filter you will beat the 450. Also what pipes do you have? Quote
95 shee Posted February 19, 2010 Author Report Posted February 19, 2010 the pipes i got are lrd dacing i think im not around them now but i am pretty sure thats it. now is there diff size cool heads or are they the same? and if i do all that what will i need to do to the carbs jet wise? Quote

You could get it ported and bump your timing to +4deg with a timing plate for under $500, and get your head shaved if you are on a tight budget to raise your compression, and it would look like you had a stock head and have a sleeper motor. bbcmudtruck Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 If you have $500 to spend and are tired of getting dogged on, then spend your money on porting! Quote
