oneeye Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I broke one of my head light lenses so I called up my local Yamaha shop and told him I needed one so he ordered it, he didnt ask what year i needed. So I went to pick it up today and it was plastic, the one I have is metal and glass. So what year do they change and are thay interchangeable? I have a 97 with the metal and glass lenses. I ordered new bulbs for 97 to 06, are they going to work. Thanks for any help you can give. Quote
BlasterKX Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 are they big black plastic headlights? or are they the small chrome headlights? Quote
oneeye Posted December 10, 2009 Author Report Posted December 10, 2009 They are the stocks lights, one reflector housing is all plastic and the other one is metal and glass. Quote

Snopczynski Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I believe the older bikes had lens diffusers, and the newer bikes just had a clear lens. I am not sure which year they changed them though. Quote
papa_smurf49319 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 my 95 has glass lenses Quote
FrankieSquid Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I think think the year from 2000 and up had the newer plastic lenses. My bike is a 99 and it came with the glass lenses. Quote
