KEVSWS6 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Do you need a HD clutch? If you do don't buy the EBay Tusk clutch kit or the guy that claims he uses FZR plates. They are not factory OEM plates. I bought them and checked them myself. I sell factory OEM steels and fibers from the 1000cc sport bikes. They sell as Banshee HD clutches. They come in OEM factory bags. If yours don't come this way they are most likely not OEM parts. Most people don't need anything stronger than the factory clutch with some HD springs. This will hold up to all the normal bolt on stuff. Now if your ported with boltons you will need an HD clutch. Don't get caught slippin. Stay on top of your game here on the HQ. Quote
jbooker82 Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I would just as soon have oem fz1000 fibers. The cork friction material they use keeps your oil a lot cleaner than the aftermarket clutches that use kevlar or carbon fiber. Quote
