BOOZER2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 New to banshees. Stripped down my 03 to powder coat frame for rebuild. Going to mach up 450 front end install to make any modifications before powdercoat. So I was wondering if there was anything else I should be looking at to clean up/modify on the frame that anyone can suggest? Quote
278 Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Theres quite a few things, that you can get rid of... Any tabs or mounts that you aren't going to use. Alot of people also like to re-locate the CDI and electronics from the back under the seat mount to the front somewhere. You have to build a bracket or cut the one from the back and re-weld it to the front. It helps clean it up cuz it hides the box and you dont have wires stretching from front to back Quote

quaddad817 Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 hear is the one im working on Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 i personally would stay away from the 450 front end. its not that good of a setup for the banshee. an aftermarket/shock setup will be much better for your bike. Quote
ltd.yfz Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Here's mine i'm gonna paint it tmrw. Quote
tbcustomz Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Did you make the entire subframe? I would be interested in getting the pieces you have cut out for the electric stuff and seat mount to weld on if you sell them? Quote
ltd.yfz Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 no i didn't do any of that. Chassis inc. did the frame. You can see more of the stuff he's done at chassisincfab.com his name's lew (great guy) tell him isaac sent u. He's fair on his prices. Quote
