Stu_Pac Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Is it hard to split the case? Its not so much that its "hard" is a pain in the ass, you have to pull the engine, and reseal the cases with yama-bond after you change the seal. Its time consuming, if you are serious about wanting it to last split the cases. if you want it dont fast and some-what right you can just tap a new seal in. dont trim anything off of the seal, its there for a reason, and never use silicon on seals that are in contact with gas. You might want to split your cases to clean out the silicone before it causes any problems gumming up your crank or your clutch plates, depending on how much u actually used. Quote
