patrickkomar Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) Ok a buddy of mine picked this motor up used and has no idea what it is and I have no clue what cylinders these are! Edited November 5, 2009 by patrickkomar Quote
bansheesandrider Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Looks to me like it is a Trinity Stage IV Cheetah power valve motor. Quote
patrickkomar Posted November 5, 2009 Author Report Posted November 5, 2009 It has a 68mm boar and from the top of the cyclinder to the piston i get 53.50mm. the pistons have 3663k stamped in to them. Quote
patrickkomar Posted November 5, 2009 Author Report Posted November 5, 2009 The six bolt reeds are some strange stuff looks like a sled motor! Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 What is your buddy wanting to do with the topend? Quote
bansheesandrider Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Go to www.trinityracing.com, check the Banshee products section and look at the CHEETAH engine kit. Since you measured it at stock stroke it is the 400cc version that uses the stock crank. The reed cages are the same , the head and powervalve covers are similar, and the bolt on nipple for the water hose is the same. AKheathen Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 is it normall for the powervalves to hang down like that? Quote
patrickkomar Posted November 5, 2009 Author Report Posted November 5, 2009 well were hoping to build a spare dune bike out of it. The guy he bought it from claims it was running on the sauce (alcohol). so first thing will be to find out what cc of the domes are and get it set back up for 91 and see if the pwk's that came with the motor are really set up for alcohol. toolucky Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 he said he gave a 1000 for it but looking at it some I think he got took If he got the carbs with this motor and the crank is still good and the cases arent cracked then i think he did ok. That setup is not cheap. Call trinty and you will see what im talking about Quote
patrickkomar Posted November 7, 2009 Author Report Posted November 7, 2009 well if you look at the sides of the cylinders they are kinda beat up. in the next pic it looks like the cylinder was dropped on the left top side. and it looks like some thing green was leaking here a bunch. Quote
