NastyQuickie Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 hey guys just wondering what you would suggest i do to upgrade my clutch grip while not breaking the pocket too much because being laid off sucks but having a slipping clutch is worse jk. Any suggestions on what parts i would need to replace and which ones i can keep such as plates, fibers, springs etc? thanks Quote
AKheathen Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 first, make sure the cable is not too tight. you should be able to push the lever on top of the cse tward the cable and feel it hit the release. the best thing would be to upgrade to a fast clutch, and use 3 hd springs or 6, depending on how much power ou are built for. the cheapest, reliable clutch is the tusk clutch. don't reuse worn out springs. check the hub and basket while you are in there Quote

No need to go spend more than the $40 or so that RMATV sells the tusk unit for. Don't get ripped off for tusk clutch copies from others. Just go to RMATV. Quote

NastyQuickie Posted October 31, 2009 Author Report Posted October 31, 2009 Them are some big headlights ya got there! How do they do at night? Funny you ask the reason i got them was becasue i like night riding at glamis and lets face it the stock lights suck ass BIG TIME! The best way I can describe the stock lights is like riding the dunes with 2 candles for lights freakin dangerous. These are 7inch HIDs and they don't dim when the engine slows down i actually run a battery so i can turn them on without turning on the bike they are similar the the ones the sand rails run. I can see way further ahead and the surrounding area best upgrade i've done IMO. Quote
NastyQuickie Posted October 31, 2009 Author Report Posted October 31, 2009 Good looking out crazycat. Next time i need a clutch i'll hit him up. Quote
