badjetman23 Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 looking for more lowend power my shee is an 01 stock other than t5 pipes and +4 timing Quote
AKheathen Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 all depends on how far you want to go. sprocket change, boysen dual stage or carbon tech low tension reeds, coolhead with smaller domes, different pipes like ptr mids or pro circuits. programable cdi...... Quote
mercury65 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 im replying becaus not many have and with your set up it is about as low as you want any more and you give up way to much hp sorry to say but the best way to get more lowend from what you got is a 450r. more rpm = more power thats why the new yamaha has 5 valves. look how much more power a 600 street bike has then a 660 raptor how many rpm's do they turn. bbcmudtruck Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 You can get some pro circuit pipes, +4 stroke crank, and a MX port, and raise the compression. Quote
rajaa11 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 You can get a 2 into 1 carb setup with some Paul Turner Mid pipes, +4 timing and a trail or MX port job. That would make a lot of low end power....What type of riding are you doing? All woods, MX, etc... Quote
badjetman23 Posted October 8, 2009 Author Report Posted October 8, 2009 i ride the gravel pits mostly climbing hills sometimes we shoot the banks from a dead stop Quote
Sammy Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Pro circuits, Carbon Tech low/mid tension reeds, 28mm carbs, agg trail port, +4 timing, if you dont mind race gas 19cc domes with apro head. Quote
AKheathen Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 not knockin the ptr's but the pro-circuits will make a little more power for what you're ridding. they come on pretty low and pull real strong. one big thing you'll notice right away over the t-5's is that you can launch off a whoop or mound real nicely just by stabbing the throttle from a relatively low rpm, and stay in 1 gear twice as long. i ran my timing up to +5.5 Quote
White97Banshee Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 I hear reed spacer plates shift the power down towards the low end a little bit. And they're pretty cheap too. The thicker the spacer plate you get, the more bottom end you get. ~Kyle Quote
