Cheetah's, CUBS and extreemly ported bikes?? i definetly like the way they look though..... for your wife they should be perfect.... what size carb are you going to be running for the 2-into-1?? my dads bike ran sweet with that setup
Glamis321
I've never ran them either but I have heard nothing but good things about them.
Snopczynski
Why are you putting vf3's on a bike set up for low-mid power?
coronakidd
Im going to run 35pwk carb Im putting vforce 3s on it because they out perform stock reed cages ill be putting cub cylinders on it.I have plus 2 a-arms chrome, works shocks with rezzies, chrome +2 round housing swingarm. Everyone doubts that 2-into-1 setup but it shocked the fuck out of me.. he was running with alot of fast bikes
coronakidd
How do the P.T.s compare to the other pipes are they like putting on a set of FMFs,T-5s,TRINITY stage 4,performace wise I have FMF gnarleys on it now I thought about putting my trinity pipes on her bike and putting shearer inframes on mine just seen a pic of a bike with P.T.s on it and they looked sweet
Sammy
Pt Mids are more like FMF Fatty's or Pro Circuits in terms of the power curve. Your Trinity pipes are more like T5's or PT High's. I would say the Mids, Stock reed cages ported with Low/Mid tension reeds, 2>1 setup, Agg trail ported stock jugs. That would be a ripping setup for the wife. If your gonna do a cub later on you need to go with more tailored to the cub. Cpi's, vf3's, dual carbs (33pwk's). WORD. cubs are basically drag ported from the factory so using a bottom end carb/intake setup and bottom end pipes is like wiping before you shit. you would get the most out of your setup if you ran an aggressive trail ported stock cylinder 4 mill with the trinity 2-1, 35mmPWK and PT's. my .02. Whitbread
I love my pt high rev's. Last set of pipes I'll ever put on my bike. I'm running them with PC spark arrestor silencers and they sound wicked. Have plenty of low end pull and rev out great. I just like actually being able to change plugs on a hot motor without having to wear welding gloves.
Snopczynski
The stock cages with carbon tech low or mid tension reeds will outperform vf3's on that setup with pt mids. Another good option is stock cages with boyeseen dual stage reeds. Vf3's are a mid-top end part, your pipes aren't gonna rev much past 8,850 rpm, so they dont do much for the setup you want to run. Going bigger than 35mm with the 2 into 1 intake on stock cylinders with a port job is not a real great idea also.
coronakidd
when i go with cub cyl in future ill do a dual carb setup until then im going to run the 2 into one carb was going to run 35pwk i used to run the 2 into 1 carb setup back in the early 90s when graydon proline was around and i used their kit. when i do go with a cub cylinder i only have to buy one carb to make a pair. And as I already the V3s Ill use them im pretty sure theyll give more performance then a stock or modified cage.If P.T.s are no better than FMF pipes ill put my trinity pipes on her shee and get me some shearers the P.T.s are just really good eye candy you all were saying P.T.mids,were like FMFs what about P.T. highs and what about sound. I dont want to run toomeys because evryone around here runs them or fmfs .Also my wife has rode my drag bike so im not worried about power we just want something different thanks everyone for your input
Snopczynski
vf3's will flow more on a cub setup, but your definitely going to need different pipes if you run those cylinders. For stock cylinders, the stock cages with bolt on reeds will outperform the vf3's with the setup you want to run.
coronakidd
I found some pt high revs at a good deal Im looking toward the future of the bike setup i know 2 in 1 carb set up limits what you can do but i have one already laying around i did buy the v3s im buying a cub cylinder in the future. I just want to have something a little different you know (everybody and their brother runs toomeys)If the P.T highs will work good for now thats fine If not ill put trinity4s on it and put some shearers on my 4mill I know shearers are one of the best performing pipes out there thats what im running on my drag bike maybe i should just forget about the PTs all together and just get on with it (shearers)
Sammy
Phucking wow.... your a little indecisive. Make a plan and stick with it. The high rev's are good pipe's, I would still not classify them on the same level as say shearer's or cpi's. They are more equal to your Trinity's or T5's. What is the purpose of this bike? What will be the riding style? Dune, Drag, Trail, Hill Shoot. That'll help determine the best setup for you to run.
