Hey all

john here from Maryland~ awesome site as I have been browsing last week or so! much info for sure. I just picked up this Banshee (87 chassis and 96 motor) EVERYTHING IS NEW ON it.

1) COMPLETE yfz FRONT END

2) oversized radiator

3) steering dampner

4) durablue adj axle.

5) kill switch

6) new stator-pickup coil-motor wiring all new

7) adj timing plate advanced 4 degrees

8) weisco crank trued and welded

9) oversized bore and mild dune port

10)stock heads shaved-Vforce2 reeds dirt digger clutch

11)FMF fatty pipe n power core slincers

12)PLAStic new.

Just rode it around the yard and not had chance to open it up. I changed the oil and looked at the plugs-very dark -checked the jet (keihen 35mm) and it has a 165 main in there? does that sound right for the above mentioned "work"??

also Is 50-1 the best ratio to run..or would 32-1 be better?

anyways-glad to be here and look forward to chatting in the future thanks JOHN

says file too big..try to load pics later..thanks

im not loyal to any one brand...but if there is a general consensus to which one works best..ill buy that, but lets just say AMSOIL or klotz.

also need to mention the quad also has the trinity 2-1 kit on it...how much horsepower would this bike have ( I know at best its a guesstimate)??but im clueless...not even sure how much horses it has stock...35-38 sound right??

there really isnt a "favorite" oil. its mostly just personal preference. the mix ratio you use is based off whatever the oil you choose is rated for. if you do a search on her you will find loads of oil pre-mix threads.

my best guess for your hp would be somewhere around 60, give or take a few ponies.

Nice looking banshee. Welcome to the HQ!

btw - 87 frames came with J-arms and you obviously have A-arms, so I don't think you have an 87 frame.

and run some Klotz 32:1, you can't go wrong.

Thanks guys...I did mention that this bike has a complete front end of a YFZ! it has "gusset" welds...i think thats correct term...the only thing stock is swingarm...subframe and cradle and I think steering stem..I think..LOL
