MRMOONEY Posted September 19, 2009 Report Share Posted September 19, 2009 I got this banshee about a month ago I put FMF fattys on it jetted it, pods, everything else is stock. Sometimes its happened 3 times now when i start it the motor starts in reverse and when you let the clutch out and put it in gear it will acutally move backwards wtf. What can caues this is this a timing issue i pulled the stator cover off and its all stock meaning no adjustable timing plate etc.. please help and thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

98_shee Posted September 19, 2009 Report Share Posted September 19, 2009 Pull your stator cover and make sure there isn't a timing plate. If their is it may have came loose and retarded your timing. 370banshee Posted September 19, 2009 Report Share Posted September 19, 2009 check the fylwheel key.. it may be sheared and the flywheel as tweaked just enought to throw your timing off to make it fire backwards... it happens on blasters all the time.. it's possible a banshee could do the same thing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MRMOONEY Posted September 20, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 20, 2009 the timing plate is under the flywheel I know, what I meant was an adjustable timing plate there is not an adjustable plate on it I mentioned that in the 1st post everything is stock except pipes and pods.
