firebanshee Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 I went to the drags today at Albany and had a blast. This was the first time for me at a track, all my other racinig has just been out on the dunes at the hill. I ended up 4th place in my class (sport bike 2) and my fastest time was a 4.26 and i weigh 250 and have a stock frame with no front brakes and a bar with rear strut. I ran 4.40s the rest of the time. Should i expect much more out of this with my current set up? I think i will go and try the pro tree tomorrow    Quote
docjcwatson Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Very impressive times for your first time on a real track. Congrats. Now you have the bug. Hahaha. And you thought you were hooked before. I'm sure you noticed how much different it is, to launch on a track, with a wheelie bar, as opposed to launching in the dunes, with shaws. At the track it doesn't matter how much power you have. It's how much power you get to the ground. Now it's all about chassis tuning my friend. You got the motor. Now get it to hook! Good luck. And have fun. Because this is truly the fun part. Now that you know the motor is strong. Quote
firebanshee Posted July 26, 2009 Author Report Posted July 26, 2009 You are right i got the bug, running on a track is alot different.
