Burping

Sorry for the dumb question, but I just got my banshee yesturday and rode it for the first time today.

 

On a typical 2 stroke (like a dirt bike) you have to burp the throttle while in top gear or cruising high rpms. Do you have to do the same on a banshee?

I would. I was always told not to keep a 2-stroke wide open for long stretches.

What do you consider long stretches, seconds or minutes. Dont forget that the motor came from a road bike

If you are jetted right and the motor is not junk, you should have no problems running WOT for a few kilometers.

Just make sure that the gas cap vent is working and the filters in the gas tank are clean, or else you may run the carbs dry and end up walking back to your truck.

thats the same ive heard. you can hold it WOT forever as long as you got proper jetting and your bowls dont run dry. and as for bliking the throttle after pinning it i do the same just rev it a few short times

Ok sounds good guys. So its more like a two stroke snowmobile then a two stroke dirt bike then.
