  1. I am looking for the following items for my 99 banshee: Rear Brake Rotor Front and Rear Brake Pads Nurf Bars Pipes and Silencers (aftermarket) Handle Bars with pad (aftermarket) Chain adjusters with bolts Chain guide and roller
  2. Thinking about selling my stock 99 banshee. It did have a top end rebuild last year. I'm looking to get a 4 stroke raptor or 400ex. $2000 obo. Starts first or second kick every time, runs great. edit: I am putting all new brakes and tires on it this week.
  3. What ratio are you all running? oz per gallon?
  4. Not to thread jack but what is everyone using as far as oil?
  5. That was entertaining to say the least. Some people....
  6. Its not going to hurt anything.
  7. Well, I will have to go to the DMV and talk to them and see what to do. I got a new title for a car that I had shipped across country when I went to the DMV and the guy didn't send it. They just had to do a back ground check to make sure it wasn't stolen, so I will try that.
  8. Congrats man. That looks like fun. Nice ride!
  9. Thanks guys. Going to the DMV tomorrow. Will I need a bill of sale or title? Or just the year, make model and vin?
  10. Ok sounds good guys. So its more like a two stroke snowmobile then a two stroke dirt bike then. Happy ridding.
  11. Shes locked up in a good place. Going to take it out tomorrow and change all the fluids and see what its really got. Still looking for some parts to get it back to 100% Thanks for everything guys.
  12. The bike wasn't a p.o.s. It could have used new plastics and a clutch lever. Other then that the bike was great. It just had a complete engine rebuild and new tires right before I let it go. I rode the bike for a few hours and decided to get a quad so I could ride with all my friends. He actually contacted me on Caigs list and offered the trade. I explained to him everything about the bike and the bikes history. He also rode the bike. After hours of him and his father looking it over they decided to trade. Did I get the better deal? Yes I did. But when you trade or buy something you want to end up ahead. Did I fuck him over? No I did not.
  13. Thats perfect.
  14. Ok, thanks guys. I know I didn't do anything wrong, I just didn't know the legality of the issue. I called my brother (who is a big guy) when they said they were in town, and was like i think you should come over here I might need some back up. He pulls up and limps into my house, could hardly walk because he stepped on a huge nail at work. I laughed my ass off and said well thanks for the back up hahaha. Thank you for all your opinions I just needed some reassurance on the matter. I will let you all know what happens.
  15. I know my dirt bike is legit. i know the first owner who bought it brand new at the dealership. I never got a title for it when I bought it and as far as I knew dirt bikes did not have titles. I told him that I would report his threats to the authorities and he said they will not do anything about it. He said "its not a threat its a promise" Also when the deal was made in person my girl friend was there and so was his mother and father. His father was the one that said it seemed to be a good deal and that it was a go if he wanted the bike. The kid rode the bike up to the house and leaned it against the garage and said we have a deal. They both helped me load the quad into the back of the truck, even invited us in for dinner (we passed because there was somewhere else we wanted to eat) and we took off. Edit: also the deal was made at his house.
  16. So I currently traded my 98 cr125r for a 99 banshee and now I am having problems with the previous owner. After I drove 3.5 hours to do the swap and spent about 4 hours talking to the guy and explaining anything and everything about the dirt bike. The bike started first kick and ran good. I looked over the banshee for a few minutes, noticed a few things that needed attention but decided on going ahead with the swap. So I loaded the quad on my truck and drove away. The next day his friend starts texting me telling me that the bike is a piece of shit and that he is going to drive up here with his "8 cage fighting buddies" and kick my ass. These threats go on for a few hours and then stop. Yesterday I get a text saying he is in my town and is looking for me (which he was not) but started saying they were going to steal the quad back and beat my ass. Later that night after no one shows up at my door I get a phone call from the guy I made the deal with saying that he is very upset and unhappy with the trade. He gives me his two options: "Either we trade back as is" or "we go to court" There was no swap of bill of sales or titles because the lack of one, but I have all the emails and text messages saved on my phone from the beginning of the deal that date back about a month ago explaining everything and anything that I knew about the bike and anything and everything he knew about the quad. My question is does he have anything on me?
  17. I vote this: "4 Strokes Are For Slow Pokes" and this is funny as hell. "If you don't ride a banshee then fuck you"
  18. Looking for a nice set of rear tires. Not sure what kind to go with. Currently riding on rear turf tamers that have absolutely no grab. Anyone have any preferred brands or maybe a set of used tires?
  19. Sorry for the dumb question, but I just got my banshee yesturday and rode it for the first time today. On a typical 2 stroke (like a dirt bike) you have to burp the throttle while in top gear or cruising high rpms. Do you have to do the same on a banshee?
  20. PM me pictures. I may be interested.
  21. All I need is rotor, pads and caliper.
  22. Took off the plug boots and cleaned up the contacts. Put them back on, first kick and shes ready to rip. Runs great!
  23. Ok, I will grab a new set and see what that does. Also where I bought the quad they were at 1200 ft above sea level and I'm at about 800 ft Is that enough to have to change the jetting?
  24. Drove 3 hours to pick up my new banshee. When I got there the guy could not get it to start. I kicked it over twice and it fired up but would only run on one cylinder. Pulled the plugs and found one had no spark. Went and picked up two new ones and put them in. Still the same problem. When it runs I can pull off one wire and nothing changes, pull off the other and it dies. Also when it is running and I grab the plug wire and wiggle it a bit it will shock me. Think this is a plug wire issue or coil issue? Also it has a ghetto modified cold air intake (will take pictures later) and need to replace that. Needs rear caliper and rotor Other then that its in decent shape. Traded for a 98 cr125r.
