fmf vs toomy

My old 87 cme with a set of fmf fattys and some kind of stock silencers. I replaced the silincencers with an old pair of powercores. I have a good line on a pair of toomy t-5s. Are these as good or better than my fmfs? If so do I need to jet any different for the toomys?

Your sig says you have a 2 into 1 set up on the carb, and t-5s are a mid to top end pipe, not a good match. Just my 02 cents.

I dont think there is a pipe that works good with a 2:1 carb.

 

I would get the toomey's and ditch the 2:1

Buy another 33, intake and get the Toomeys.

ok how about this what kind of riding do you do? the pipes and the carbs play a big role in this if its alot of trail riding and not alot of straight aways and drag situations, the 2into1 is nice for that but it focues on low to mid response so a good mid to low pipe would be good the fmf's would work good on this setup but its all what you like the toomey's will give you a higher redline a peakey power

I love my toomeys. I have 2 33mm pwk's but I do do mostly dune riding.
