Loc Posted July 9, 2009 Author Report Posted July 9, 2009 I will give FAST a call tomorrow. I am hoping to find something that will handle the HP without making the clutch so darn hard to pull. Thanks for the help and support. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Fraid I cant help with the clutch. But being a computer retard, I must not be doing searches correct because either I don't get a definative answer or I end up with threads from all topics on forum. I'm sofa king we todd did!! LOL!! Quote
shanYE west Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I didn't have a problem.. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hlite=%2Bclutch Quote
RagunCajun Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 (edited) MODS please delete the entire post. Post 2,3,4 and 8 attempted to help you out. Deleting this thread would possibly hurt future people who search. It does get old when people ask the same question but as i said before. This place would be dead except for the sales sections if the same topics didnt come up. At the same time i'm tired of seeing "use the search." Edited July 9, 2009 by RagunCajun Quote
278 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I hate seeing "use the search," yeah people post the same stuff and older members get tired of answering it, so they dont have to if it annoys them. I hate using the search it comes up with every post that has the words somewhere in it that you typed in. Sometimes you find what you need right away and sometimes you have to search through like 20 posts to find what you need, and many newer members havn't fully seen everything this site has to offer which is why they ask these questions. Thanks for the help and support. I had his clutch with 6HD springs, a new clutch cable and an EZ Pull lever and perch in my 4 mil cub, it was around 90 plus HP, held no problem. Since it wasn't a lockup and override, it Shifted like absolute shit....but, it held it. Do yourself a favor and get an EZ pull lever and perch to get rid of all that OEM Parking brake garbage and a new cable. You'll be amazed on how easy the pull is. Quote
Loc Posted July 9, 2009 Author Report Posted July 9, 2009 After Reading the response I think I will go with a fast clutch with HD springs, new clutch cable and Easy pull handle. The reason I asked to have it deleted is because I didn't want this to turn out as a big war and I figured It would be easy to get rid of it then cause problems, but your correct there is usefull info. I run Jeffs clutches on my 2 ported bikes with the e-z pull clutch lever and a new cable. Works great. Its been several seasons as well, no slipping yet. Quote

You'll be amazed on how easy the pull is. Does your clutch disengage all the way? I always thought from the way ez-pull sets work is they make the pivot closer therefor making it easier. At the same time, the it doesnt move the clutch actuator as much. And it puts more stress on the cable. I did a few searching on this a few months back and people had the same thoughts. That brings me to ez pulls w/ shorty levers. The longer the lever, the easier it is to pull. Right now im using refurb ASV's because my MSR(or whatever it's called) raptor ez pull was a piece of garbage. It did work fine though from what i remember. But it was made cheap. Quote
dajogejr Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Yep...disengages all the way no problem. You just have to know how to adjust them... I don't have a shorty lever, a regular one. Quote
