sledneck696 Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 So I just bought my first Banshee last week and Im having a few issues that Im hoping you guys can help me out with. First the bike takes forever to kickover when its cold most of the time I just bump it.....once its warmed up it starts first kick no problem. Next when I rip around my yard it works mint, but when its gets totally warmed up and I take it down a trail or road 5 th and 6th gear it bogs down like there is no power I have to gear down to get back up to speed, but when It comes to just first few gears rips mint?? I took the carbs off and cleaned them thoroughly, put new plugs in......any ideas fellas?? Thanks Mark Quote
225GUY Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) what mods does it have? did you check the plug caps? what kind of jetting for the pipes? stock? crossover hose connected in between both carbs? carbs synced? air screws? idle screws? Edited April 22, 2009 by 225GUY Quote
maxtrax Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 What do your spark plugs look like? After a good had run? What is your compression? Quote
sledneck696 Posted April 22, 2009 Author Report Posted April 22, 2009 I dont have a compression tester, ill have to pick one up. As for mods It only has FMF gold series pipes and boost bottle. The guy bought it off said it was jetted accordingly when piped Ill have to double check them though and see what size they are, the connector tube is on the carbs, just cleaned the carbs and put new plugs in. Also the reason I did the carbs first was once I noticed the bogging when I got back to my place and shut the bike off fuel was pissin out the overflow now it hasnt pissed out the overflow after trying again lastnight but I didnt go very far once realizing the problem wasnt fixed. Hubcap Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 I Had same problem on my bike. The problem was low compression but I had no issues starting my bike. Get that compression looked at. I was down 30psi from stock Quote
sledneck696 Posted April 22, 2009 Author Report Posted April 22, 2009 Alrighty Ill try that and get back to use Quote

likestoride Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 clean the little holes in the brass pipe under the main jet. This will fix your cold start prob.(remove main jet & tap tube out throat of carb.use small 1/4 drive socket.clean holes w/wire)lite tapping,no hitting Quote
