rubberneck Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Why not paddles? Thats what the jeeps and stuff i see run use. I would think that if you can get up on top like you say they would work great. since its basically a straight up drag race, id be looking for some haulers. Only thing if the start is really hard packed, might not get out of the hole too well. Maybe a molded paddle tire might work better. Im sure somebody on here has done this hopefully they will chime in. Quote
killshee Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 what about the maxxis 4sno's? i have a set if your interested. Quote
rambo Posted March 17, 2009 Author Report Posted March 17, 2009 idk..we'll see here this summer.. bought a set of those duro hf-245's today hook amazing on a shee... absolutly amazing idk bout mud yet... but they hook so good i need a new frame or rear half frame..an a upper left a-arm grab bar an need to bend my silencer tube back to correct place.... An worst part... I want my SKIN back off the dirt Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 If your wanting a paddle tire just for mud bogging the Skat Trak desert storm is made to help stand up against riding on hard pack. There paddles are only .5 in tall vs a regular hauler having 7/8 in tall paddle. I guess you cant go to tall or the dry area will rip paddles off. You can get them from rocky mountain. Quote
rambo Posted March 18, 2009 Author Report Posted March 18, 2009 i though about that but idk..... idk if u want a scoop to pick the mud up.. or a straight thing to dig in an release the mud.. ? its a lil challenging lol Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Do you have any vids of you running those duros? My buddy runs them on his z400 and they are the cats meow in dam near any terrain. I thought that the banshee would just spin them though.. Do you have any motor work done? Quote
AKheathen Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 i though about that but idk..... idk if u want a scoop to pick the mud up.. or a straight thing to dig in an release the mud.. ? its a lil challenging lol you want to release it. picking it up will suck you down a bit, which is fine if you wanna ride through it on the trails, but if you wanna shoot through faster. that's just my experince coming from water skipping snowmachines, but the principle is the same. 2" paddle sucks, but 1.5" paddle is much faster, and 1" overruns on tracks, so i'd imagine that you'd only want enough to bite, like those skat tracks. rambo Posted March 18, 2009 Author Report Posted March 18, 2009 yeh skat tracks will b nice...i think.. an no videos of them duros... i turned my shock down all the way soft an hoped on it.. piped jetted k&n wiseco top end.. cracked first grabbed second.. im 6'2 260 an the thing jus went out form under me to on top me..my three buddies said was a tenth of a second an was on top me.. I used to have 1/4 tread tires take of on them pavement to dirt mud w/e 1st 2nd 3rd fry em..smoke rolling..transferring body weight no diff... these duros.. you dont spin unless u kick the ass end an flat track a turn...thats only way... an ther 20's..
