official_style Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 yea, i think that one is for a different type of chain, but the bike stock should have 2 rollers there right? are the top ones important? Quote
official_style Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 in this diagram, 13-18. it says 2 are required, i guess 1 above and 1 below the front sprocket. is the top one important? Quote
TJScott Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 i would need a pic since im not familiar with banshees that much, but usually yes, they keep the chain up so it doesnt rub on the swingarm or whatever. Quote
BansheeRider87 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 I have two as well. I just looked and notice cause im rebuilding Quote
official_style Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 i guess i should order the top one for my 97 then, it doesnt have it, just a slider below the chain. Quote

That is not a stock piece on that bike. Look at the aluminum bracket secured with the swinger pivot bolt. Taht is somekind of aftermarket unit I have heard of something called an amplink, is that it?? Quote
SandRageShee Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 yeah thats an amplink.. its just got a place where the chain rolls on top and on bottom like a tensioner pully...so when you lay on the throttle on lets say pavement? you dont get the chain jerk from a lose chain.. Quote

locogato11283 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 there should be two rollers stock, one on top and one on bottom.. i dont think i run the top one anymore, but probably should. it helps to keep your chain tight when the rear shock is compressed, like when landing off a jump. Quote
Woolfman Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 I have a question I just got new rollers cause mine were gone who knows where. I just got both and one is bigger than the other does anyone know if the bigger one goes on top or on bottom? Quote
sleeper06 Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 My bike stock only came with one roller on bottom, one slider(UPP)on upper arm,one slider lower arm Quote
