BlasterKX Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 ok im prob just pairanoied(sp) but was wondring if its bad if i i go to start the shee after it sitting for a couple days and with no choke it starts but spudders out and dies it does this a couple times then nothing. i choke it and 2-3 kicks it fires right up idling. just want to make sure this is normal and not a sign of a worn out top end. last time i did a comp check was with a questionable tester and it said 120 on both cylinders. im sure its just me cuz it doesnt ever take more then 1 kick when warmed up and if i kick it over about 5-6 hours after running it it will fire right up 1st kick also. just tell me im retarted and il stop worring Quote
BlasterKX Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 ya thats whats im thinking lol i just worry to much Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 When it just spits and sputters it is it's way of saying I need more fuel... Quote
Oregon Banshee Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 that sounds normal to me. mine is the same way. its just cold. just needs to warm up. Quote
BlasterKX Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 ya i figured it was just a greedy cold blooded bit*h lol Quote
blaster2006 Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 weird for me, when i start my quad the next day.. it will start with or without choke on 1st kick always.. but just when it fires.. i gotta keeeep revving it.. it gives a deep throaty noise as if it has shitloads of air stuck inside it and not enough gas ( even with the choke fully pulled out), soo i getta keep revving it for about 5-6 sec then it idles from then on perfectly. always starts 1st kick no choke.. but if i dont got a choke i gotta reallllly rev it hard or else it will turn off... but if i choke it full.. i still gotta rev it.. as it gives deep throaty boggy air noises and dies out the second i dont rev.. but like i said after 5 secs its fine.. never seen a bike like that but yeah.. AKheathen Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 looks pretty cold there. sounds normal in low temps. keep the choke on for a min when it's cold Quote
BlasterKX Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 ya i was thinking its not to warm out yet. actually today is 63 out so il prob wire it up after i change oil and plugs and put the case saver in Quote
AKheathen Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 should start pretty easy at 63. If not, try flush your fuel system/carbs. I always end up with a little junk in the bowls after a couple tanks. Quote
BlasterKX Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 not to worried turned the gas on let it sit for abput 5 mins and started right up first kick no choke Quote
