jmiller Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I got a vitos tors eliminator kit for the stock carbs b.c the tors were giving me problems.. Put the vitos kit on problem solved. couple tanks later the one screw falls out... i go too the vitos site and order another screw shipping was muchhhh more than the screw itself so i got another screw cleaned out carbs and put the new screw in and it stripped out without even really tightening it. Ive been through 4 idle screws now since july the springs seem to be working ok even know they are too long so you have to cut them to make them fit. Now i did that after putting the 4th key in and the throttle cable broke... VITOS SUCKS ive also emailed them and their customer support isnt the best... If i could do it again id go with another manufacturer like motion pro or moose... I was expecting better quailty from such a big name... Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 vitos sucks. shoulda asked before you bought that junk.. we wouldve told you. Quote
MikeNick Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Fuck Vito's...I bought a new impellar off this guy who sells Vito's on ebay an it didn't fit..The shaft hadn't been machined to fit inside the case. I send it back and he sends me another one and tells me he tried it on a bike and it fit fine...I take off my clutch cover to put it on and that piece of shit doesn't fit either!!! It was machined but not enough..Fuckin junk dude..I don't care who likes them..That was my 1st and last Vito's experience. Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I live just a few miles from Vito's. I have had no problem with any of his products. I have his piston kit in my bike. and that was from 5 years ago. and it still runs strong. I have also gotten reeds, clutch cables, throttle cables, brake pads, and a slew of other parts. I guess I have been lucky... Quote
dajogejr Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I've gottena TORS removal kit from him. Any chance you fuggered the holes when you drilled/tapped them, and/or didn't use the locknut they supply with the kit. Did you grind the carb boss flat so the lock nut could seat properly? Never had a problem with their stuff.... I don't buy into their "power piston" or "ported piston" crap they push, but they make good products overall, and have just about everything OEM you'd need without having to go to a dealer (like specialty hoses, lockwashers, etc) Quote
flotek Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 some stuff is actaully pretty good ...some is marketing hype ,just avoid their hand dandy super scrap piston kits at all costs Quote
