XxMeltIcexX Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 The crank seal on the clutch side matters, the crowns should be pointed towards the crank for spacing reasons.. The stator side not so much, I always put the smooth side towards the crank and the writing out. Eric Quote

okbeast Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 I always put the metal springy thing of the seal to the inside. I believe that makes it where the writing is out. I think that's right but no promises. Fuck, that may be bassackwards though Quote

The Crowns (little nubs I guess) point in, for spacing reasons. Other side has springs in BOTH sides. Put the smooth side in. Quote

okbeast Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 What size base gasket did you use? A squish test is always good just to make sure everything is in proper working order. Quote

okbeast Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 .012 is usually one of the more common thicknesses ran. As for the cubs and "cut" domes, if you have a true 4mm cub cylinder they don't require a cut dome. The cylinder is made taller from the factory so it is not needed. Where did you get the dome from that you are wanting to run? I believe a fair squish is anywhere from .040 to .050, you can maybe go a little lower than that but I don't like to risk it. Quote
