if your bike is too fast, and you need to slow it down abit, thats what boost bottles are made for.

ok, in reality, they dont do anything. its one of the mods.. which.. .. well just dont do anything.

useless, dont get one.

I too was gonna ask what good he heard about them. I think If you could run a stock style crossover tube inside the boost bottle, it would be a great place to store some pot........other than that they are junk, I even emailed fmf and moose racing and asked them if they could provide data sheets on the gains to be expected and they didn't even email me back.

my old teacher is a motorcycle mechanic (2-stroke specalist) he said it will help with bog and throttle response. cuz when you are goin and you punch it the bog comes from too much gas and not enough air so the boost bottle makes up for that lack of air. i think they are a load of shit. i am not planning on getting one i just wanted to know why people live by them and people hate them.

You're gonna find out this is one of those items that had great thought and theory behind it, it just doesn't pan out in reality.

But...with the name "boost" in it...they still sell a TON based on that marketing alone.

The HQ bike had one

Yep, along with a TON of other "donated" parts...beggars can't be choosers...LOL.

Also.. some billet intakes like the pro design and Duncan's Pro flow intakes are made with a boost bottle.. Not sure what intakes was used on the HQ build.

Yeah, I was thinking JB did it as a joke...lol... Those Duncan intakes look nasty. I would sport it in a heart beat.

I had one on mine for the longest just b/c I did not feel like messing with it. It was on their when I got it. My new set up I went with the stock tube after reading all the cons on it. I was going to fab up a overflow tube out of my old one.

The bottle on the HQ bike looked like it was hooked to a boss intake, I would like to try one of those out.

If it was a BOSS intake, it was an OLD design. For the past few years their intakes are built in crossover billet types, except the largest intakes which are separate with NO crossover or boost bottle ports.

I had heard that it helps out the bottom end by having the fuel/air mix in the chamber on stand by.

I found that when I took it off my idle smoothed out and it felt better through out the band...

that is just what I found.
