05.Banshee.SE Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 How easy is it to go from white fenders to (a quality) black? I don't mean spray paint or anything. Don't say "buy black ones, that's easy" either. Quote
Misssppelllleddd Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 no new fenders and no spray paint? get lots of black sharpies...careful of the fumes lol  Quote
bonbon Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not sure of many other ways to do it. Either paint them or buy some. I guess you could always cover the plastics in electrical tape. Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 I was thinking more along the lines of airbrushing them. Any photos of spray painted ones? I just don't want it to look tacky. Quote

I just don't want it to look tacky. airbrushing would be paint. i seen on the crap kidd jap bikes that some of them have a plastic wrap on the plastics. the ones that are camo in color are actually black plastics with some type of shrink wrap to make it look like camo. KaosBanshee44 Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Don't be a vagina and spray paint them, that's retarded. Send them to kiel at JK Customs he can hook ya up with a paint job...hehe Quote
kwalt21 Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 no new fenders and no spray paint? get lots of black sharpies...careful of the fumes lol  I agree...just make sure you dont buy the fine tip. Make sure you go with a standard sharpie and you will get the best results. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Sell them and buy black ones. A quality paint job combined with shipping is going to be just as much. However if you want something wicked, then send them to theshee. Quote
Bansh88 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Any quality way (i can't think of one) of making them black is going to be more expensive than buying NEW black plastic. Quote
278 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 no new fenders and no spray paint? get lots of black sharpies...careful of the fumes lol  I think he means besides the $4 spray can you buy at freds or something. THe cheapest way is going to be just buy black fenders... unless you wanted some kind of custom paint but remember, if your ride trails and you have painted plastics the trees hitting them will cause scratches and chipping Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted February 18, 2009 Author Report Posted February 18, 2009 I was going to help a brotha out and give him my full black fenders for his white race cut and try and paint 'em...he wanted full and I wanted cut, so I thought I'd help. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work... But either way...I will be repainting my BLACK fenders BLACK (just fresh paint!). I'm putting new graphics on, and wanted fresh paint for it. What sand paper will take 'em down to where I need to be? I said no spray paint because IMO it generally looks shitty...my bike isn't old enough to half ass it yet... I figured airbushing them would give me a better quality. I KNOW AIRBRUSHING IS STILL PAINT, I SAID NO SPRAY PAINT, NOT NO PAINT!!! Spray paint = shitty. I want something a notch better...doesn't have to be full on custom air brush graphics by Mr. whoever... Quote
