Klaus Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Guys, sum1 told me this, I had no idea. The 2 float bowls on the Banshee differ, one has a jet in it the other one is just blocked off. Jet goes by the one with the choke. It screws with your choke if they are switched, causes hard starting. Just a heads up, although you guys probly know!! Quote

05.Banshee.SE Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 I'd have to disagree.... I think? I have no idea what you're saying either. Only one carb has a jet in it, and the other is blocked off for the choke? Lol Quote
skinindustries Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 both y carbs loked the sae expt one has a choke and the other doesnt Quote
mun2frio Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 He's actually talkin about the bowls on the stock carbs, if you take them out you will notice that one has like a long rod and the other one doesn't.doesn't. I noticed that when I was cleanin my carbs and I was about to ask if it was like that or if I was missing one on one bowl. Quote
jinx44 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Yes, when the choke is on, the right side pulls fuel from the left carb. That is why that little black tube goes between the carbs (you know, the tube everyone drops and forgets when they re-jet, then wonders why the bike runs like shit). Quote
Klaus Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Posted February 9, 2009 Hey guys, sorry, made sense in my own mind cos I knew what I was trying to say. Like mun2frio and jinx44 said, on the carb with the choke, you'll notice a brass pipe which goes into the float bowl ( the long rod mun2frio was talking about ), now if you look on the float bowl where that brass pipe slips in , there is a jet right at the bottom in the float bowl, barely visible. You will notice a small hole on the bottom of the, lets call it a "well" which lets fuel into that passage, the other float bowl is just blanked off. If your float bowls are switched, you WILL kick the bike 20 times. I learnt the hard way. Quote
J.J. Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Hey Klaus, Welcome to the HQ and thanks for the heads-up. Your post made perfect sense to me. Quote
