vulvafan537240 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 just did a plug chop... heated it 1min.. put new plugs, kicked it and raced myself.... wot wot as much as i can... rode it for about 3 mins hard... took out plugs i can see dark brownish colors down the plug. guess im good now guaranteed. that im good to go as for main jets. also btw, volfan, i looked at your sig, youve got more mods than me, including the Pods ive got, and your running 290 mains, and where i live its VERY hot, today afternoon it was actually hot.. about 75 degrees. where i live in the middle east its hottt... coldest it got was 60 F. its 60-80 degrees here. i think ill need to richen the needle and move the needle up.. i never said that you were DEFINATELY lean. i said that you should check your plugs to be sure because you had a shadetree mechanic based on what yoyve said about him before. and as far as mods vs mods, the only thing that i have different (that affects jetting) is the reeds. and it was 72 degrees here today. just because we dont wear turbines on our heads doesnt mean its not here you know. :biggrin: Quote

Fuck man, you just dont listen do you. Riding around for 3 minutes doesn't tell you dick on your plugs, do a proper plug chop. Warm bike up on old plugs. Stop put new plugs in. fire bike up and IMEDIATELY do a wide open run 1st through at least 5th gear. Pull in clutch, kill motor, release thumb throttle, coast to a stop. Put your old plugs in and ride home. take the test plugs and either cut them or inspect. This is the only way to make sure your main circuit is correct. You ask questions all day long and dont listen to the advice. Its your bike do what you want with it. Quote
