SLORYDER Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Like the title says. What are the most common problems associated w/ high hp banshee motors? Generally the rods are the first thing to go, right? Quote
00tbanshee Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 depends on how much hp you are talking about.the tranny is one of the weakeast links (second gear) Quote
Fireroad Express Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 clutch slipping is a problem around 100hp +/- . 2nd gear seems to go too. Quote
shanYE west Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Clutch slippage was my biggest problem. Had to add a ton of weight to the locker. No problems with my trans. (110hp+) 2nd gear is weak.. but I think stock 2nd is good up to 120ish . But I do agree.. The weakest link in a big HP motor (besides the clutch) that isn't caused from user error is the 2nd gear...
