Dune/play aggresive porting?

im shipping my cylinders out tom to a guy i know and hes given me this kinda port job. hes real good and knows exactly what to do. i told him what kinda riding and what i got done to my bike and he said he can even port em to except the t6s. but lmk if you have or know about this kinda port job.

not enough info to answer. Plus one mans dune port is anothers drag or play port. Like is 94 degrees warm and 98 hot? Get a different answer from whoever you ask.

 

If you trust the guy and he really knows what he is doing, then let him do his job, you told him what you want. We have all been there when spending money for the first time upgrading. Its a learning process for you, this site can help on a lot of things but what you expect and what one person calls something is something we really can't help you out on.

Everyone's work is going to look and perform differently than each other. And based on the info you have told us, that this guy I know is porting for a Dune Play port on my engine...well it's kinda hard for us to tell you how "that guys" port work is going to perform.

 

However on a general Dune/Play port application, you'll notice a good increase in power around mid-top. My bottom end was about the same, but my mid pulls very good and rides on out to top.

sorry guys i couldnt give up alot of info.lol he has been doing it for 20 years and hes got his own business doing it but im sure you all have never heard of it. hes just now starting to get alot more jobs then usual(like out of state). il post pics up when i get em bak. but you guys do ahve a point everyones going to have a different way and routine of doing a port job so it is kinda hard. i just wanted to know what i should be expecting.

I love my HJR aggressive dune port.

 

He ported it for gas and T-5's but it really came alive with meth and shearers.

 

Guess it depends on what you're looking for but I couldn't be happy.

 

It is a tad high spirited for the woods, but still gets around and is a blast on open fire road type trails.

 

and on the sand it's perfect. Enough tq to thumb it in 3rd gear and ride wheelies all day long, or skin it back and run like a stabbed right on the top end.
