dragbanshee98
i know that the banshee will never be available to those of us in the US ever again, but it would be cool for them to do a remake of the banshee with somethin a little different... i was thinkin that if they dropped into a new chassis with some updated suspension and different ergos (that stuff is not what makes it a banshee anyway) and i think that if they were to use the engine out of the phazer sled ( 80 hp twin 4 poke) i know that it will lose the 2 stroke scream that it is know for but it will still have the twin cylinder power that has made it infamous among the atv world. this motor is basically 2 dirtbke engines slapped together so it will still be the king of the hill like it has always been... lets hear what u guys thinkk on the idea
dirtydownunder
haha i think it sux , its a banshee it has to be 2stroke.
9498banshee
why does it have to be a 4 poke? look at bombardiar they make a 600 sled motor twin that has little to no emissions. and excellent fuel mileage. and also fucking ripps. and even if yamaha came out with a 4poke banshee i would buy one that thing would be crazy hell ride a yfz in the woods with a pipe and jetted it fairly fast don't own one and probably never will. the only thing that all the new quads is that the seat is flat like a dirt bike which i hate. 2001Stroker
why does it have to be a 4 poke? Because in 2011, sale of 2-stroke engines will be banned in the US. It sucks, because some 2-stroke emmissions are getting better than 4-strokes. You will still be able to buy them overseas, and import them. But, dealerships will no longer carry them. For some reason, Yamaha decided to start early, and quit selling the Banshee over here in 2006. And, I agree. A 4-stroke Banshee, would not be a Banshee. sangheraent
I think the banshee will be remade. Everything is about profit if they can come out with a new and improved version that the original banshee owners like they'll do it. examples like camaro challanger charger gto fordgt. the list goes on. Hilarious
i think when the first big bore raptor was introduced, it was supposed to eventually take the banshee's place in the yamaha sport quad line up.
dragbanshee98
i think when the first big bore raptor was introduced, itwas supposed to eventually take the banshee's place in the yamaha sport quad line up. ya i understand that but the Yamaha lineup will never be the same without the banshee and that is a fact  ... the banshee has kept uncountable numbers of aftermarket companies alive and now i can only guess that there sales numbers will start to fall some without customers havin stock banshees that they want to sink the bank account into  ... the raptor is a great machine dont get me wrong, but i dont even think that it can really be put in the same conversation with the banshee in terms of industry changing power and design... idk maybe u guys feel differently about it
tonyown
Buying a banshee was the best thing happened in my life and I hope it'll still be on the market for long time... I hate the new 4 stroke banshee project.... lol

2001Stroker
i think you will one day see the return of the 2 stroke to the usa. time will tell I think you're right. Yes, Banshee's are gone for now in the US. But the law has effected many other power sports and jobs. Fishing, lawn equipment, and the list goes on. 4-stroke outboard boat engines are extremely heavy, compared to a 2-stroke. They burn more fuel, and don't have the topend power. You ever tried weedeating with a 4-stroke? It sucks. My mom has one. Not only is it heavy as shit, but it has absolutely no power, and vibrates like a bitch. So, I agree with peterlocal. One day, they'll be back.

banshee#44
i think a four stroke banshee would be a horrible idea you would never get the same amount of fun out of the motor,i think they have found a better way to make a 2 stroke motor with less emissions and hopefully the same power if not more than what the exspansion chamber made.
