wrightcj77 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I just purchased a barely used stock 05 Banshee. I'm looking for advice on the best upgrades for the money to make this banshee quicker. I am in the process of getting Toomey T5s or T6s. What else should be done to wake this thing up? I just sold a Raptor 700 and for those, it is referred to as the "Big 3". Exhaust, Air Box/Filter and fuel controller. Not too familiar with 2 strokes. Any advice will be greatly appreciated... Quote
tonyown Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 there's a lot to do... t5 is a great choice... u can add timing plate set at +4 degree it's cheap like 40-50 bucks... a cool head with 21 cc domes if u want to run pump gas, some vforce 3 reed valve, and if u have a good budget some porting and bigger carbs and maybe a 4mm stroker setup... It depends on your riding style... Quote
F.T.W. Banshee Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I would get the cool head after the pipes. imo Quote

I just found a trinity stage 4 single carb setup on ebay. Is going from two carbs to one a good idea? Quote
travis6767 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 you lose top end with those but you gain bottom end, depends on your riding style, it would be great for mx or trails, not for dunes or drag Quote

tonyown Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 What kind of riding do you do? Tight trail, large trail and hill climb, dunes, drag it all depends on it Quote
firebanshee Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I just found a trinity stage 4 single carb setup on ebay. Is going from two carbs to one a good idea? NO! You set your bike up right with 2 carbs you can have the best of both worlds. Quote
1996dragshee Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Get a set of pipes and a coolhead and domes. If you have the money then hell yea get some porting and carbs and advance the timing. But of the bat your best investment is a coolhead because the pipes are always a first IMO Quote
