It has been done before, but if it were me id just get a direct drive one and be done with it. You dont want it to leak or break if you kick it or somethin. The direct drive ones are made out of lexan (strong shit). You do no0t have the use the lockout with the direct drive, and it holds more oil.

I made mine 4 years ago and I never had problems even I do some hard shit with the shee :happy: First , cut the stock one and I use a 3/16" plexiglass and take the same 3 bolts to tight it and put a silicone joint , my cover has never leak with that method... Hope this help you Banshee_Bandit

@MeltIce

I suppose that direct drive one is some kinda Hinson stuff. But a bit expensive :(

Thanks anyway Bro :thumbsup:

@DMC excatly that one :evil:

perfect, that`s the way I wanna go :cool: How`d you cut it out and you obviously cutted it along the cover and made a curve around bolt part right?

Would the paint come off the clutch boss or the pressure plate if I would paint them ?!?

That right , cut it along the cover and made a curve around bolt part. And yes its the pressure plate we see on the pic. Let see some pics if you do your...

If you prep the pressure plate really really well you could paint it. but that could be risky if it flakes off. I think poweder coating might work better.

Maybe you might like polished plates and accessories.

what did you use to cut the hole in the sidecase? did you use honda bond to seal the window? also how did you drill the screw holes with out the plexi cracking?

Lexan and Plaxiglass can both be drilled. You just have to be carefull and drill at about 400rpm with a slow feed.

I thought he said he used silicon to seal it.

ya, i was just wondering if it had to be oil safe. didnt know if all silicon will work with oil. honda or yamabond are oil safe, and i know permatex makes stuff called moto seal that will work with oil as well.
