Craigslist - national search ability?

I noticed a thread about Craigslist and got me thinking about how I have never found a way to search "all" of Craigslist for certain items. IS there a way to do this?

i just checked out the site and i didnt see any way to do that. niot that its not possible, but i didnt see anything.

What if you just google the item and type "craigslist.org" after it?

 

It may not be as accurate as a real search option, but I don't think they have one, so.

i just type in craigslist in google with whatever i want

ya ive looked for that national search button and never found it.
