RUDEDAWG Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Does anyone know if a boss one piece billet intake would work with t-5's? I read on another forum that if I used the intake and 35mm pwk's the k&n pod filters will rub on the stingers(even the angled ones). Any input would be appreciated. Quote
2001Stroker Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I have that intake with FMF's. Well, had FMF's. My left filter got real close to the pipe. It never rubbed it though. Now, the left carb choke knob rubbed it a little. Quote
jbooker82 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Boss intake with PWK33's (same carb body as the 35's) Mine were real close with FMF SST's, T5's and Currenlty CPI's all only on the LH singer tube. Get you a pair of Heat wraps. You only need the short ones. I run them on my LH tube. http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/ne...ore_dept_id=168 Quote

Thanks! by the way, those stinger clamps are bitchin! Where did you score those? Quote
jbooker82 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 They are RIS Designs One end threads together and clamps an o ring down for a tight seal. The filters I am running I got from Cascade too. I tried the 20 deg angled flange and they were to angled. I sent them back to cascade and they sent me some 10 deg angle. They fit perfict. josh Quote
speed-racer Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 I run the Boss intake with T5s and 34mm PJs. Very close, but it works as long as the outerwears fit tight. My last set were a little big for the filter and got burned. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 wrap your stinger tubes in header wrap from an auto parts store. Quote
burleybanshee Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 I got two radiator hoses that were straight with the right size diameter and cut them about 6" long and put them between the intake boot and the filter. It moved the air cleaners back and off the t5's. My fireball intake is the same as a boss intake. Problem solved. Get four good strong clamps, mine haven't come off and worked great. Quote
deckheight Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 I ended up w/the 10 deg. filters and machined about 3/32" off the bottom of the intake to angle everything down a little more. Quote
