MarineNYC Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 I had a friend tell me that when I go out to Glamis that I should drop the front sprocket to a 15. So I can gain a little more topend. I trust this person Im just wondering what you guys think. I have a aggr trail port and have plenty of grunt down low. Im just looking for a little more mid to top end for those long dune rides. Quote

locogato11283 Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 its all gonna depend on your weight and tires. i usually drop gearing when i get to the dunes.. and i run a 10mm cub. Quote
MarineNYC Posted November 23, 2008 Author Report Posted November 23, 2008 Im 210 and will be running SandStars.?? And will have 33pwk's from the single carb. Will I even need the drop then? Quote
shee4speed Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 You might be happier with a 14 tooth front in the sand.It robs pwer like a mofo out there. All anyone will be able to tell you is try it out. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 i agree, i think you should plan on changing to a 14. Quote
