BlasterKX Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 I checked the compression in the banshee tonight and its suppose to have fesh 25 over bore on it. it has Toomey T6's on it and both sides are at 90 but i took one pipe off and put my hand up to and it shot up to 120 so is it the pipes or maybe the rings??? please help Quote
FASTOYS Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Take out both plugs, give it full throttle, kick hard and fast till it stops! Stock motor should be around 120-130 range. IF your guage is correct at 90 you prolly need a rebuild. Quote
BlasterKX Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 (edited) im suppose to give it WOT? i did know that i wasnt touching the gas. but why would it read the exact same on each side? and why would it shoot up if i put y hand on it? i also didnt have my silincers on does that matter? it also fires up first kick and runs damn good. so idk its weird Edited November 16, 2008 by BlasterKX Quote

The exhaust port is the first port to opean and the last port to close. So your going to have part of your fresh air and fuel go out the exhaust. This is why the type and shape of your exhaust pipe determines how your banshee runs. The exhaust pipe bounces a pressure wave back twards the engine to help hold in the new fresh air and fuel. So you hand seals better than the pressure wave and that is what caused the psi to go up. Quote
BlasterKX Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 So does that mean that different pipes can cause different psi? Quote
Tedder Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 So does that mean that different pipes can cause different psi? I don't think you would see a difference on "kicking" compression but the pipes will play a major factor in flow and cylinder compression under actual running conditions. Quote
BlasterKX Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 Ok so it could be the pipes sending a lighter psi then stock or a two into one Quote
bansheejoel Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Just recheck it!! Hold it WOT and see what it reads instead of guessing or having us guess what it "could" be. Quote
BlasterKX Posted November 21, 2008 Author Report Posted November 21, 2008 i did the other night and i got 118 with both plugs out and wot. Thanks Quote
