do you guys have pictures of various port jobs and what they are?

i found that my jugs are ported and tryin to figure out what kind of port job it is?

thanks!

Post some measurements from the top of the cylinder to the top's of the Transfer ports and Exhaust ports. That will better help identify what type of port job you have.

The intake pic's dont really mean much. That isnt where the power is made.

Unless you can measure mm by eye, just looking at a port job won't do anything for you.

You can tell if a stock cylinder has triple exhaust ports or boost intake ports, that's it.

While everyone will ooh and ahh over a nice, clean, symmetric looking port job, that means nothing.

I've seen cylinders that look hacked up run like a top, and "pretty" cylinders look like total shit...

Get yourself some dial calipers with a depth rod on them.

Call Jim at Passion Racing Engines.

He will tell you what to measure and how to measure it.

With that info, he can tell you exactly what your port timings

are and what that means to you (how it will run).

You could probably call any number of builders and get that

help. I just recommend Jim because he is a real straight shooter

and has always been willing to take his time working with me

over the phone (even when he wasn't selling me something).

Good luck.

Most builders I know wont go over that stuff over the phone because they have to use duration calculators, and it depends on a bunch of stuff like gasket thicknesses, deck height, etc....... to determine how a bike will run.

One way you can figure out volumetric efficiency and flow is to take it to a place that can test the overall flow of the ports. Once that is done all the math can be figured from that.
